The RTX 4080 at full 175W TGP is the whole story here — this thing trades blows with my desktop. The 24-core i9 chews through Blender renders while the QHD+ 240Hz panel makes everything look incredible. Heavy, sure, but that's the price of an 18-inch aluminum flagship.
Performance is exceptional and the Mercury chassis is gorgeous. Just know it's a big machine — portability is limited. Battery life is typical gaming laptop territory, so stay near an outlet.

I edit 4K footage and game on the same machine and it handles both effortlessly. 32GB RAM means I never close my browser anymore. The build quality feels like it'll last a decade. Fan noise is present under load but reasonable for this class.
No complaints about performance — it's excellent. But the 18-inch form factor plus power brick makes this genuinely a desk machine. Buy it for that purpose and you'll be happy.
Sold my desktop and consolidated into this. Runs everything at max settings and the screen is gorgeous. Only wish the SSD weren't soldered — everything else is top notch.
