Dark Hive pattern is subtle and premium — not gamer-loud, just sleek. All the cutouts for the vents, USB, and buttons line up perfectly on my Switch 2. Application took maybe 20 minutes and the 3M vinyl repositioned easily when I messed up a corner. Zero bubbles.
Bought this specifically because my two children treat the Switch like a hockey puck. It's been three months of drops, juice, and chaos and the console underneath is pristine. The skin hasn't peeled at the edges even after being shoved in and out of the dock a hundred times.
Quality vinyl and the honeycomb pattern looks great in person. The flat areas went on perfectly but the curves around the Joy-Con rails took some heat from a hairdryer to lay flat. Once set, it's adhered really well. Happy overall.
I hate bulky cases on handhelds. This adds essentially zero thickness while still guarding against scratches. The texture gives a nicer grip than the bare plastic too. Dark Hive is a great colorway, understated but distinctive.

My launch Switch 2 already had scuffs on the back from dock inserts. This hid every one of them and made it look brand new. Decal went on clean. Only minor gripe: the instruction sheet is a QR code and I'd have liked printed diagrams, but a YouTube video sorted me out.
The vinyl itself is clearly good quality — thick, forgiving, repositionable. My issue is purely the application: getting the rail cutouts aligned on both sides took me three attempts each. If you're patient, you'll get a great result. If you rush, you'll have visible overhang. End result looks good though.
For $10 this is the easiest recommendation ever. Premium 3M material, precision cuts, and it survived being removed and reapplied once when I wanted to adjust it. My son thinks I bought a limited edition console.
Fit is precise and the finish resists fingerprints way better than the stock plastic. It's been in and out of travel cases with no lifting at the edges. Would buy again, maybe in a different pattern for my second console.
